Shooting with DRS IMAGES and body paint with Battledress

So, a few weeks ago I get a call from Lonny Sapikowski asking if I wanted to be a part of this G.I. Joe body paint project. I knew what I was getting myself into, so I said, 'I'm in.'
As I made my peaceful drive to Corona, CA to Lisa's (Battle Dress)I was thinking of the last time I had shot with the family. It was hard to remember but I think it was about 6 months ago. I really shouldn't go that long with out a little insainity in my life.
As I got there, I knew the welcomes would be warm and I knew that it was going to be a great day with them. I walked in, the first thing I saw were the warm smiles of Lisa, Lee, Lonny, and Megan. It was a good moment to be me. I think I spent a good 45 seconds enjoying a hug from each of them.
We chatted along, played catch up, told some dirty jokes, and got straight to work. Lisa is printing a piece of paper out with a cobra head on it, 'Lift up your sweater.' she demands. I am used to it, so I do as I am told.
She makes a few measurements on my exposed chest and I casually continue my conversation with everyone else in the room.
We get to her office and we start the painting process. Lisa throws lines on my body that make no sense to me, but to her its her out line of the art in which she is about to create. I notice that Megan has some interesting hat thingy she is working on... looks like some flying nun hat. I don't ask questions.
Adam Chilson and his better half made a surprise appearance. The circle of friends was now complete.
Time flies, we all get hungry. Lee makes a fabulous Italian potato chips and I devoured my face in them. Pretty much they are potato slices with cheese melted on top, so bad for a shoot. Also with sweet potato and more starch from other sources. By this time I am bloated...
Laughter is filling the air the closer we get to the finished product and I am realizing that this is exactly what I needed to start fresh. We get the wig on and we are off to the studio. Lonny and Lee are patiently waiting as Lisa makes some minor adjustments. A few shots are taken from both Lonny and Lee. They quickly get what they wanted and leave the room. Lisa and I are left behind with Lee's camera and we shoot some fun stuff, like rap cover shots (check my FB Page, too funny!).
Even though we had a quick day of painting, shooting... it was all ended with our ever loving goodbyes and knowing we would see each other again and it wasn't over. We started a fire under our belts knowing that this will be continued.

Intro to my Blog!

Hi there! And welcome to my blog!
As you can tell I have been doing a ton of renovation of my web site (www.EvinaLuna.com) and here at my blog. Let's just say, out with the old and in with the new. I figured a fresh start is better then never starting at all.
What you will find here at my blog are consistent updates of my promotions, modeling gigs, some of the new items I will be selling (I personally make wonderful princess head pieces good for little princesses and big princesses), fitness competitions, modeling competitions, positive life thoughts, and much more. I might even have castings from some of the company's that I work for too, so stay posted!
As for right now, I am currently in school going for a transfer in Sociology to CSUN. I also work at a school in Camrillo as a campus supervisor, and love all 580 kids that attend that school! There is so much more to talk about but til then, stay tuned, leave a comment, slap a high five and give a hug!
*hugs* Evina
